Chris is the Executive Director of our nonprofit counseling center and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with over 15 years of experience. He specializes in helping individuals and couples heal from sex addiction, trauma, and relationship challenges through evidence-based, compassionate therapy tailored to each client’s needs.
He spends half his time providing direct client care and the other half training therapists and leading programs that expand access to quality treatment. His approach focuses on creating a safe, shame-free space where clients can find hope, rebuild trust, and make lasting change.
He’s passionate about this work because he’s seen how isolation and shame keep people stuck. His mission is to guide clients toward healing and authentic connection—both within therapy and in their lives. Whether you’re seeking support or partnership, he’s here to help you grow and reclaim your life.

Matthew Sweetser, LCSW
matt@growcounselingnwa.org
Matthew is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Arkansas with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. His primary goal is to create a safe, relaxed, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. He is known for his easy-going, down-to-earth style and his ability to quickly build genuine connection.
As a male therapist, he often connects well with men who may feel hesitant about starting therapy, while warmly welcoming clients of all identities and backgrounds. He frequently works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood concerns, impulse control challenges (including ADHD), self-esteem issues, social anxiety, isolation, grief, and relationship or family stress.
Matthew’s approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized. He primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns while working toward meaningful, lasting change. He is especially comfortable working with clients who are new to therapy and strives to make the process approachable, supportive, and empowering from the very first session.

Mollie Sweetser, LPC, EMDR
mollie@growcounselingnwa.org
Mollie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping clients heal and grow by exploring and reshaping the personal stories that shape their lives. She recognizes how past experiences influence present well-being and works with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other life struggles often rooted in unresolved wounds. By addressing underlying patterns rather than just symptoms, Mollie supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and meaningful personal growth.
Mollie is trained in multiple trauma-focused modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Her work is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can access, process, and transform difficult emotions rather than avoid them.
Mollie approaches well-being holistically, collaborating with clients to explore the many factors that can influence mental health—such as stress, relationships, daily rhythms, sources of meaning, and mind–body connection—always guided by what feels most relevant to the individual. She brings a laid-back, compassionate presence to the therapy space, offering a supportive environment for growth at each client’s own pace.
Grow is excited to welcome counseling interns to our team, which will allow us to offer a limited number of low-cost therapy appointments. Intern counseling is a common part of professional training: interns are graduate-level clinicians who provide therapy while gaining hands-on experience under close supervision from our licensed therapists. Sessions follow the same standards of care, confidentiality, and professionalism you can expect from any provider in our practice, with the added benefit that every case is reviewed regularly with a supervisor to support quality and growth. This option can be a great fit if you’re looking for meaningful support at a reduced rate and feel comfortable working with a therapist in training.
