Where it all Began…

It all began at an abbey in the middle of nowhere Arkansas in the middle of a Pandemic. God brought three people together in a way only He can to begin the buddings of a relationship that leads to where we are today. We did not begin by wanting to start a counseling center. We began by being quiet, slowing down, and enjoy the moments of life. Well, we took a deeper step together in these sacred acts together in Subiaco. The Lord began stirring in ourselves the need to slow down, to find peace within ourselves and the Lord, before finding in elsewhere in our lives. Through lots of practice, days, weeks, and years, we find a glimmer of inner peace. And when we found it, He began to plant a seed for something greater in our hearts.

Over time a similar heartbeat grew for our fellow clinicians, but also for NWA at large and the mental health struggles that are plaguing our community. An idea planted itself in the heart of two men, and eventually a woman, that would lead to a plan that would lead to a place. And here we are continuing to slow down, listening with our hearts, and taking one step at a time.

We invite you to take a deep breath. Center yourself. Slow down. And know that you are coming to a safe place whether you are a client or clinician. Come grow with us and know that you matter.

Our Purpose

Grow Counseling and Training Center is a non-profit dedicated to promoting holistic growth and development, both for individuals seeking therapy and for mental health professionals. By fostering a nurturing environment for personal and professional transformation, we provide a space where clients and clinicians can grow, evolve, learn, and thrive! At Grow, we believe counseling is a service for all socioeconomic levels and provide a range of therapists.

Why We Are Different

Grow seeks to train and equip counselors by offering trainings and staff meetings to increase professional knowledge and contact with fellow therapists. Additionally, we as therapists teach self care, yet rarely follow our own advice because of the limitations of opportunities within the counseling community.

At Grow, we want to offer benefits to give opportunity for self care for each therapist. We want highly trained therapists who are able to better take care of themselves and able to show up for clients in every session in a whole new way. Our goal is to increase counselor satisfaction and decrease the rate of burnout – which leads for higher satisfaction for all!
